Egypt can be visited all year round, but it’s less pleasant from June to August when the temperature rises to 40 degrees or more. We recommend you to visit the country during fall and spring.

General Facts

  • Never drink tap water which hasn’t been boiled. And if you are sensitive, use bottled water even when you are brushing your teeth.
  • Using a taxi is an easy way to get around. We recommend that you and the driver come to an agreement about the price before you get in the taxi, and never pay until you’re at your destination, and pay attention to the denomination of the bills when you pay. There are also many round-the-clock buses that go between the different neighbourhoods on your destination. If you want to hop on a bus, just stand on the side of the road and wave (have the exact change with you).
